The second large ‘Airbus 330-300’ joined the US-Bangla fleet at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) on Saturday.
The Airbus landed at the HSIA at 5:30 am from Guangzhou, China. The newly added Airbus, with 436 seats, was formally accepted by senior officials of US-Bangla Airlines, said a media release signed by its General Manager (Public Relations) Md Kamrul Islam.
As part of future plans with the new addition, the Airbus will operate on the London, Rome routes along with Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam in Saudi Arabia.
At present, it will be operated on the Dubai, Sharjah, Muscat Doha and Kuala Lumpur routes, it said.
The Airbus 330-300 joined the US-Bangla fleet as the 24th aircraft. Currently US-Bangla Airlines has two Airbus 330-300, 9 Boeing 737-800, 10 ATR 72-600 and three Dash 8-Q400 aircraft in its fleet, the media release reads.
US-Bangla Airlines is currently operating regular flights on all domestic routes. Among international destinations, it is flying to Kolkata, Chennai, Male, Muscat, Doha, Dubai, Sharjah, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Guangzhou.
